A mind of her own...

I began writing The Winged Child before I had any expectation it would ever be published. I only knew Millicent McTeer’s tale was a story I needed to know. The only way for me to know was to start writing.

In the beginning, and for a while after, I wasn’t sure if I would be around to finish Millicent’s story. I thought, if I did, it would likely be my last novel. Now, Millicent has found a home with a publisher, Creative James Media, who plan to turn her loose on the world in February. Meanwhile I’m working on another novel I may not finish. Every day is a surprise.

So far, Millicent has not made an appearance in my current work-in-progress, but it’s still early, I wouldn’t rule that out. She habitually shows up in unlikely places. Like all my characters, she has a mind of her own. I just write what they tell me.
