Lisa's place...

In Drovers Gap, boundaries are permeable. The line between Ordinary and Other Side (where the people in books are at least as real as those we meet on the street) becomes exceeding thin, especially during the change of seasons, or at the edge between day and night.

The Main Muse and I took a long walk this afternoon. It was getting dark as we came back into town so we decided to take a shortcut down Pine Street.

Apparently, we made a wrong turn and wandered into the Laurel Creek Containment District, for suddenly, the street made a sharp turn and there was Lisa Charon's Long Broad Hotel right in front of us.

Henry's books.
